Malcesine - Return to inland waters for the Melges World League which, between Thursday 22 and Sunday 25 July, are going to return to Malcesine for the third event of their season, the Garda Lake Rally.
Fraglia Vela Malcesine will host a fleet that will exceed forty units with representatives arriving from Brazil, Russia, Monaco, South Africa, Germany, England, Poland, Norway, Hungary and, of course, Italy.
Among the Melges 20, expected between the marks from Friday to Sunday, there will be the return of Furia Roja, Kotyara, TNT Sailing and Spirit of Nerina, helmed by Marco Frigerio for the occasion. There will also be the protagonists of the Class such as the World and European Champions of Brontolo of the FIV Shipowner of the Year, Filippo Pacinotti, the European Champions onboard Russian Bogatyrs, as usual led by Igor Rytov, and Fremito D’Arja, by Dario Levi and tactician Cherin. Among the outsiders, Hubex of Kiril Frolov and Neodent of Marco Giannini, with the brothers Emanuele and Enzio Savoini in the afterguard.
The already World Champions of La Pericolosa are back among the Melges 32, a Class that in the first stages of the season showed a remarkable balance. Racing between Thursday and Saturday, Christian Schwoerer's team will meet the twice world champions of Atom Tavatuy, the Corinthian World Champions on Jan Jesper Wagner's Homanit and other well-known faces of the class such as the Hungarians of Farfallina, the Norwegians of Pippa and the Germans of Wilma.
Among the Melges 14, expected in the water on Saturday and Sunday, the leader of the general ranking, the Brazilian Gustavo Vianna, is awaited by his direct opponents. Among these, the most aggressive are undoubtedly Alessio Muciaccia and Davide Di Maio.
The Garda Lake event of the Melges World League anticipates the Sardinian legs of the circuit organized by Melges Europe. The protagonists of the event will in fact be on stage in Villasimius, where the world title in the Melges 32 class will be awarded in early September, and in Puntaldia, where the European champion in the Melges 20 class will be crowned.

Melges World League:
Melges World League is an International Regatta circuit organized by Melges Europe, which every year draws the crews of the international Melges 14, Melges 20 and Melges 32 fleets to the starting line of some of the most exclusive locations in the Mediterranean and Europe, engaging between the marks several famous sailors of the international sailing scene.
The 2021 Melges World League circuit, which kicked off in April in the waters of Scarlino, will consist of a total of seven stages in famous Mediterranean locations: below is the program of the 2021 regattas.

Tuscany Rally - Scarlino (15-18 April):
On the coasts of the Tuscan Maremma, the names of the first winners of 2021 emerged: Fremito d’Arja by Dario Levi among the Melges 20 and Luca Angelini among the Melges 14.

Argentario Rally - Cala Galera (17-20 June):
The Argentario, already home to a Melges 32 World Championship and a Melges 20 World Championship, hosted the first 2021 rendezvous of all three Melges Classes.

The enchanting Sardinian location returns to host the Melges 20 and Melges 32 fleets, once again crowning the Melges 32 world champion this year

Melges 32 Worlds - Villasimius (1-4 September):
After the success of the 2020 edition, with spectacular marine and weather conditions, the Melges 32 fleet will compete here for the World title at the beginning of September.

Melges 20 European Championship - Puntaldia (22-25 September):
Crystal clear waters, wind, regattas and a warm hospitality typical of the land of Sardinia will be the ingredients of the event of Puntaldia, elected as the stage for the Melges 20 Europeans
Melges 14 Euro Cup - Santa Marinella (1-3 October):
The curtain falls on the Melges World League 2021 in Santa Marinella, which will host the Melges 14 fleet for the season’s final appointment.
