SPORT EVENTS recognized as nationally relevant by CONI

The MELGES WORLD LEAGUE TUSCANY RALLY is listed among the AUTHORIZED SPORT EVENTS recognized as nationally relevant by CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) and CIP (Italian Paralympic Committee)

The Italian Government, Department of Sport, clarified that the competitions recognized as nationally relevant by CONI and CIP, whether held outdoors or indoors, with no public, are currently allowed.

As per current legislation, the people traveling to attend the AUTHORIZED SPORT EVENTS recognized as nationally relevant by CONI are exempted to quarantine when applicable, having undergone a molecular or antigenic test, carried out by means of a swab and found to be negative in the 48 hours prior to entering the national territory.

Exemptions for entries for national sporting competitions

It applies as per current legislation to the following categories

    • to the entry of athletes, coaches, judges, competition commissioners and accompanying persons, representatives of the foreign press for participation in the sporting competitions referred to in Art. 18, paragraph 1 who, in the 48 hours prior to entering the national territory, have undergone a molecular or antigenic test, carried out by means of a swab and found to be negative.

The reference organisations for this exemption are CONI and CIP (Article 18(1)). Participants are required to comply with the protocols issued by their national sports federations, associated sports disciplines, and sports promotion bodies.

VISA
For those travelling from not-European countries, if you need a VISA, please contact directly the Class, WELL IN ADVANCE TO YOUR TRAVEL DATES, sending a Crew list including NAME, SURNAME, DATE and PLACE of BIRTH, N. of PASSPORT, EXPIRY DATE so we can arrange for you an official invitation letter to permit you to get a VISA. FIV and CONI will assist us to obtain dedicated VISA for the teams attending the event.

TRAINING

Italians

The training of athletes, professionals and non-professionals, participating in events and competitions of national importance provided for by the law are allowed. Foreigners

No travel restriction EXEMPTIONS will apply to athletes coming from abroad to enter Italy for training, but only for attending the official event.
This means that the athletes can anyhow travel to Italy for training, but they have to follow the current travel rules applied for their country.

SAFETY PROTOCOL

In order to reduce any risk of contagious and to grant a pleasant stay to all attendees (owners, sailors, coaches, sailmakers, race officials, anybody entering the mooring area…) an onsite Covid-test station is under organization. More details will follow in the next days.
