Audi Melges 20 Goes Racing In The USA — Charleston Race Week, April 16-19

For the very first time ever in the USA, the all new Audi Melges 20 will be racing competitively at Charleston Race Week on April 16-19. It's no secret that everyone is ready for the snow to melt and the cold weather to usher out — racing the Audi Melges 20 will offer up some springtime heat in Charleston Harbor where 6 teams just can't wait for the first gun!

Among those expected to attend are Phil Sustronk from Mississauga, Ontario Canada; Michael Kiss from Holland Mich., David Hammett from Rockville, Md.; Eric Wynsma from East Grand Rapids, Mich. as well as a couple of very familiar Melges faces — Marc Hollerbach from Grosse Pointe Park, Mich. and from Melges, Andy Burdick and Charlie Harrett will be present to provide support for the Melges 24 and Audi Melges 20 classes. Congratulations to all of these very proud, new owners! We hope to see everyone out racing soon!

The Audi Melges 20 — A Primo Debut, Congratulations to Benedetto Gialongo

During February 2009, the prestigious 2009 Credit Suisse Primo Cup Regatta took place on February 7-8, hosted by Yacht Club de Monaco. Nine super hot, very cool 20-ft sportboats took to the gorgeous waters of Monaco. The Audi Melges 20 was all the rage! Winning congratulations are in order for Benedetto Gialongo and his ITA-112 Value Team consisting of Giulio Desiderato, Enrico Fonda and Alessandro Saettone. Hot Deliveries Happening at Melges

Keeping Zenda warm these days is easy! Roll out a brand new, super hot Audi Melges 20 and the snow can't help but melt! Excited sailors have been traveling to the factory to pick up their brand new boats as the enthusiasm for this great boat is running deep. Tom and Karen Richardson drove to Zenda to pick-up their new Audi Melges 20. Although based in Tennessee, the Richardsons plan to race all over the USA, including Melbourne, Fla. Eric Wynsma from East Grand Rapids, Mich. has also taken delivery of his boat and will be racing it big time at Charleston Race Week. He is part of the Macatawa Bay Fleet — the hosting fleet and prime location of the 2009 Audi Melges 20 U.S. National Championship coming up in August. Read more.
